Gregg and I had a blast in Nashville, TN! We loved every moment at the Country Music Hall of Fame. It was so cool to see the history of the music that my son and I would sing together in the car when he was younger. The Jack Daniel’s Distillery was also a blast and must see even if you don’t drink.
Jack Daniel’s Distillery– The tour and tasting at the Jack Daniel’s Distillery sends you back in time, to when Jack was 13 years old, developing his business and product, found the tract of land with limestone cave and spring, a necessity, making it the oldest registered distillery in the US.
Country Music Hall of Fame– Connected to the Omni Hotel, the Country Music Hall of Fame museum meticulously celebrates the roots of country music through today’s artists who are transforming the genre.
Grand Ole Opry– For 95+ years the Grand Ole Opry has been showcasing the talent in country music via radio and in concert, celebrating some of the genre’s biggest stars.
Honkey-Tonk Highway– The part of lower Broadway that hosts a long row of honky-tonks, places to drink, eat and listen to live music is referred to as the Honkey-Tonk Highway.
National Museum of African American Music– The National Museum of African American Music is an experience of diversity to “preserve the influence African Americans have had on music”.
Studio B– “Built in 1957, RCA Studio B became known as the birthplace for the “Nashville Sound,’ a style characterized by background vocals and strings that helped establish Nashville as an international recording center.”
Arrington Vineyards– Enjoy a picnic at the Arrington Vineyards, their bonfire nights, and various tasting flights with creative flares.
Tennessee Whiskey Trail– The Tennessee Whiskey Trail comprises 25 distilleries from Memphis to Bristol, each with their own unique history and charm.
Gregg and I were so excited for Nashville BBQ and we were not disappointed! Tennessee BBQ is an artful flavor of spices.
Miss Mary Bobo’s Restaurant– Home cookin’ with love since 1908, Miss Mary Bobo’s Restaurant is a family-style restaurant serving southern comfort foods on a lazy suzan.
The Farm House Restaurant & Bar– Best known for their Sunday brunch, The Farm House Restaurant and Bar, creates their menu “from-scratch ingredients”.
The Southern Steak and Oyster– Chicken and waffles drizzled with maple syrup is a favorite at The Southern Steak and Oyster. A shuck-to-order oyster bar and open-air kitchen create a welcoming atmosphere.
Have a picnic– You’ve never had a picnic like this! Contact Picnic Pop Up for a fun, two-hour catered themed picnic.
Husk Restaurant– The Husk Restaurant is where southern grown food is king, and daily menus keep the offerings fresh and exciting.
Barlines– Amazing location, great food, stellar live music, and fantastic service. Barlines should be on your dining list.

Omni Hotel Nashville– Connected to the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Omni Hotel is an ideal location, near Broadway bars and live music, with excellent dining options. The accommodations are high-end and I recommend the food and bar outlets.
The Dark Horse Music Studio Estate– A recording studio for 25+ years. The Dark Horse Music Studio is a place of rejuvenation.
The Union Station– Formerly a 1900s train station, The Union Station is now a modern pet-friendly luxurious hotel experience.

On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me…A trip that is so spectacular, you really must see. On a plane you’ll go, not a pony express. Where you are going, you’ll simply have to guess. I shall give you a clue, but the rest you will have to do. Known as Music City, in March it might still be a little chilly. Here in 1956 Elvis recorded “Heartbreak Hotel”, but Hampton Inn is where you will dwell. Oprah Winfrey was raised here, but you will be more excited about their beer. Though this state was last to secede from the Union, you will really enjoy their jazz and country fusion. Roy Orbison wrote “Oh, Pretty Woman” here because a saw a chick that was so hotly, it also happens to be home to the infamous Grand Ole Opry. Home to country and non-country arts including Keith Urban, Taylor Swift, Martina McBride, Alison Krauss and Sheryl Crow, …this might make you want to take in a show. Have you guessed it yet, my dear? But please do not fear. This trip will be the best start to the New Year!
